Accommodation & Facilities
With just eight en-suite and air-conditioned apartments on the property, you’re sure of an intimate stay here. Verandas, hammocks, indoor lounges and garden seating areas provide plenty of places where you can get to know your fellow guests, while the mini-gym, sauna and swimming pool allow you to keep trim. The water supply is heated by a solar panel array, while the modern effluent-treatment plant further drives down the lodge’s carbon footprint. By climbing atop the 39 ft observation tower, guests can be treated to spectacular views of the surrounding greenery, as well as the area’s prodigious birdlife.
The cuisine at Pousada do Parque is both delicious and varied, drawing on local influences and utilising vegetables grown in the lodge’s garden. Meals are served in the open-air bar/restaurant, ‘Teta da Loba’, a charming locale which has its own wood-fired oven.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy from your base at the lodge. The observation tower is a great vantage point for birdwatchers; gorgeous waterfalls and intriguing rock formations reward those who venture into the wild; caves adorned with ancient rock paintings open a window into the past; and Ashtanga Yoga workshops are a great introduction to the practice.
