Arrive into San Jose where your family will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel for the night. Depending on what time you arrive you may have chance to explore the city or simply relax in your hotel before the real adventure begins tomorrow.
Following breakfast, you will head to the Poas Volcano, visiting Doka coffee plantation and the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Poas is one of the most spectacular volcanoes in the country, with its enormous crater measuring 1 km in diameter and 314 metres deep. Heading back to the hotel after lunch, visit the largest butterfly observatory in Costa Rica, and the impressive hummingbird gallery.

With 11 distinct life zones ranging from raffia palm forest to herbaceous swamps, the park offers one of the most rewarding wildlife experiences in Costa Rica, and a boat safari is by far the best way to explore this area.
