Ultimate Madhya Pradesh Tiger Safari

Journey through the forests and grasslands in the heart of tiger country in search of this majestic big cat, travelling to some of the best regions in India for wildlife encounters, including Bandhavgarh, Pench and Kanha National Parks. Staying in camps right in the heart of the wilderness, you will be ideally placed to witness this majestic big cat in the wild, as well as other Indian wildlife such as leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs and jungle cats. Enjoy frequent game drives into the national parks, accompanied by experienced guides who will be your eyes and ears in the park, and provide expert knowledge on the unique flora and fauna of the region.

What to expect?

Nestled in the lower reaches of the Satpura hills, Pench National Park is named after the Pench river which flows through it. The park is a mixture of moist deciduous and dry deciduous teak forest, and is crossed by various water streams which flow into the river. Upon arrival, check into your camp for the next few nights. Wake up early this morning for your first game drive in the park. The wildlife that can be found in the park includes sloth bears, pangolins, wolves, wild dogs, porcupines, leopards, and, of course, tigers. Return to your camp at midday to relax or enjoy a nature walk around the camp, before setting off on your second game drive of the day in the afternoon.

After your final morning game drive in the park, you will be driven (approximately 4.5 hours) to Kanha National Park. Kanha is one of the largest national parks in India, containing diverse sal, bamboo forest and grassland ecosystems, and home to 22 species of mammals and over 200 species of birds. It was also the inspiration behind Rudyard Kiplings famous novel "The Jungle Book".

You will spend the next few days exploring the national park, heading out on game drives into the park in the morning and afternoon. Travel through the dense forest as you search for wildlife including tigers, wild dogs, sloth bears, leopards, mouse deer, and the endangered barasingha or swamp deer.

Arriving and departing from Mumbai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, with flights from and to Nagpur also included.
