Day 1, 21 Sep: Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park
Upon arrival into Victoria Falls, you will be met and assisted to your light aircraft flight to Robins Camp Airstrip in Hwange Nationals Park. After brunch, join Chris Warden as his stories transport you back in time, from Chris’ rendition of Livingstone’s story to the history of Hwange National Park. (L, D)
Day 2, 22 Sep: Hwange National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives inside this amazing, world famous reserve, known for its huge herds of elephants which congregate along the waterholes. (B, L, D)
Day 3, 23 Sep: Intercamp Transfer
After your morning's game activity, you will be driven to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Manga Airstrip. From here you will be game driven to your next camp. Upon arrival at your camp, check into your room and have lunch. Following brunch, take pleasure in participating in an enlightening presentation by Themba Sibanda on the bird-life of Hwange National Park. In the afternoon, head out on a game activity in this area of the park. (B, L, D)
Day 4, 24 Sep: Hwange National Park
Enjoy game drives in the central area of the park, with different landscape and wildlife opportunities to the Northern sector where you spend your previous nights. After brunch, enjoy an informative presentation by Painted Dog Conservation. (B, L, D)
Day 5, 25 Sep: Hwange National Park - Mana Pools
This morning you will transfer to Manga Airstrip for your charter flight to Mana Pools. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation at Ingwe Pan. Time permitting you will head out on your first game activity to explore this wonderful area. After brunch, enjoy engaging in an informative presentation by Richard Yohane, discussing the avian wonders of Mana Pools. (B, L, D)
Day 6, 26 Sep: Mana Pools National Park
Activities include day game drives in open Land Rovers, but the main activity and one of the best ways to experience this beautiful part of Africa is to head out on a walking safari with an experienced guide. This area is all about the big game - large elephant bulls, big herds of buffalo as well as lion, leopard and wild dog. (B, L, D)
Day 7, 27 Sep: Mana Pools National Park - Intercamp Transfer
After your morning's game activity, you will be driven to your next camp, enjoying a game drive enroute. Upon arrival at your camp, check into your room and have lunch. In the afternoon head out on a game activity in this area of the park. With any luck you’ll come across some lion or leopard which are frequent sightings in the park. Following brunch, relish the opportunity to engage in an enlightening presentation by Shaun Malan, focusing on the art of photography. (B, L, D)
Day 8, 28 Sep: Mana Pools
Old river meanders, left in the mineral-rich volcanic soils, have formed into small ox-bow lakes surrounded by lush vegetation and tall old stands of mahogany and ebony. This abundance of water and luxuriant greenery accounts for the valley’s wealth of big game. Mana River Camp (B, L, D)
