Wild grass details
Constructed almost entirely from stone and wood, the resort is designed in a contemporary a minimalist style. Large windows provide panoramic views over the surrounding landscapes.
Wild Grass is situated within 30 acres of unfenced forestland which are frequented by local wildlife, surrounded by the scenic Kandalama hills.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are just eight villas in the resort, each set around 50 feet apart to ensure complete privacy. All villas are simply yet elegantly decorated, with a separate lounge and private balcony or terrace, king-sized beds and an ‘open-to-sky’ ensuite bathroom. The two family villas each feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and can accommodate up to six guests.
An open-side pavilion houses the resort’s restaurant and main lounge area, and there is also an outdoor swimming pool.
The resort specialises in healthy local and international cuisines, prepared using organic produce grown on site and locally-sourced ingredients. Special food requests including vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free can be accommodated for. Food is served in the restaurant in the main pavilion, under the stars on the terrace, or in the privacy of your own villa.
The resort is situated within Sri Lanka’s famous Cultural Triangle, and so is ideal for guests who wish to explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress or Dambulla Cave Temple. Guests are also encouraged to plant a tree during their visit as part of the resorts nature conservation programme. Other activities available within the resort include guided nature walks, yoga and meditation glasses, bicycle rides or hiking in the surrounding hills.
