There are 5 superior rooms, 6 deluxe rooms, 2 chalets and 1 suite at Kalu’s Hideaway and each offer all the amenities you’d expect, including air conditioning, en suite bathrooms with hot and cold water, a satellite television, a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms available are double, twin, family and inter-connecting rooms for those who wish to travel in a group.

If you choose to stay in the hotel grounds for a day, take the time to laze around the swimming pool or relax in the pool deck jacuzzi. Alternatively, there is a pool table in the lobby as well as other indoor games and a DVD player for those wishing to watch a film.

Dining

Dine in the main restaurant with your fellow travellers and enjoy delicious cuisine from the a la carte or set menu. The bar within the hotel serves water, juices, beer, wine and soft drinks.

Activities

There are many activities to enjoy from Kalu’s Hideaway, with the most notable being Udawalawe National Park, just a 10 minute drive away, where you can expect to see wildlife such as elephants, leopards, deer and water buffalo, to name a few. Other activities include hot water springs, Eth Athuru Sewana (Elephant Transit Home), Wawulapane Cave, bird watching and camping options.
