about amangalla, galle

Named after the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’, Aman, and the Sinhalese word for Galle, Galla, Amangalla sits within the ramparts of the 17th Century Galle Fort, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here the rich legacy of the fort comes alive before your eyes, with views over 200 year old streets and the port beyond.

Here you will find a tranquil, period style base from which you explore the capital of the Southern Province. You will be surrounded by antiques and old prints, accompanied by crisp white linens and polished, aged-floors.
