Katharina
SeaTrek
Katharina is one of SeaTrek’s two wooden pinisi ships. Built using and tools and traditional methods by the peoples of Sulawesi, the design of these boats has been passed down generation to generation for centuries.
Undergoing a refit in 2014, Katharina is quickly becoming closer to a classic yacht in her design. Though smaller than her counterpart, Ombak Putih, Katharina is an elegant vessel on the water. With rooms for just 12 guests, it offers a more intimate experience of the two.

Location
- Along the historical trade winds of eastern Indonesia.
- January - March: Raja Ampat, Sorong, Misool, Ternate, Bitung and Kendari.
- April - September: Bali and the Lesser Sunda Islands including the Komodo Archipelago, Alor and Sumba.
- October - November: The Lesser Sunda Islands, Banda, Ternate and Rajat Ampat.
- December: Papua including Raja Ampat and Triton Bay.
Accommodation & Facilities
- A total of 6 cabins with 2 double bed cabins, 2 triple cabins and 2 twin bunk cabins (one double, one upper single bunk).
- A large saloon and bar for guests to socialise and unwind.
- Relaxing rooftop lounge area to enjoy the sunny skies and lapping ocean waves.

- Stand-up-paddling boarding and kayaking on the ocean.
- Snorkelling with wildlife such as rays and whale shakes.
- Fishing equipment is available onboard.
- Jungle and savannah walks through island scenery.
- Visits to sites of historical and cultural significance.

- Outdoor covered dining area for sheltered ocean views.
- A varied offering of Asian and Western Cuisine, including Indonesian.
