Nestled in at the foot of the Cardamom hills in Kerala, the retreat is surrounded by its own coffee and spice plantation. It’s around 4 hours to Cochin making it a perfect stop on any Kerala itinerary.
Accommodation & Facilities
All the rooms are built in traditional Keralan style and furnished with hand-picked antiques to reflect the rich culture and peacefulness of the retreat. The facilities at Paradisa include a swimming pool, yoga, astrology and the restaurant overlooking the coffee and spice plantations.
The dining room is open-sided, allowing panoramic views across the valley, and the food, ranging from authentic Keralan food to Chinese dishes, is prepared using fresh produce taken straight from the plantation itself. Dinner is generally a six-course feast of delicious local dishes, and you can take tips from the chef on how to re-create the dishes in one of Paradisa’s cookery classes.
Relax at the retreat enjoying the amazing views, learn to cook typical Keralan dishes with the hotel chef, or you can trek through a coffee and spice plantation and take a look at the factory. Visit the Periyar tiger reserve in search of tigers, elephants and much more.
