Setting
The lodge is spread over 40 acres and provides perfect access to tiger tracking and wildlife safaris in the largely untouched Bandhavgarh National Park.
Accommodation & Facilities
Mahua Kothi consists of 12 charming individual kutiyas (little houses) built in traditional Madhya Pradesh style with private courtyards, mud floors, wooden shutters, open rafters and handmade pottery roof tiles. All kutiyas have en-suite bathrooms with twin sinks mounted on a wooden log, indoor showers, baths and separate toilets, complete with house gowns made in traditional local cloth.
Facilities include a library and restaurant and there is a refreshing swimming pool to cool off in after your safari. A generous veranda runs the length of the building with in-built seats for game viewing.
Dining
The open kitchen serves excellent cuisines and encourages guests to explore the diverse flavours of India.
Activities
Game drives operate in 4x4 jeeps, with enthusiastic and expert guides. Cultural/nature walks and woodland picnics are also offered.
