forsyth lodge details
A comfortable, stylish and environmentally conscious lodge, set within dense jungle.
Forsyth Lodge is situated near the village of Sarangpur, just one kilometre from the northern edge of the Tawa Dam. Located within 44 acres of mostly untouched jungle, the focus here is on the wildlife of Satpura National Park. While providing a very comfortable base, Forsyth’s is not an overly luxurious lodge.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Forsyth Lodge comprises 12 individual cottages (eight twins and four doubles), all with large en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and overhead fans. The 12 cottages are based on local architectural styles and each is built using local materials and decorated by the local villagers.
The open fireplace and bar of the central building provides a comfortable place to relax after an exciting day’s safari.
Good quality meals are made using local produce and served around a communal table.
The guides at Forsyth Lodge are expertly trained and lead both game drives and walking safaris within the park. Within the lodge grounds, a macham (treetop viewing platform) provides a fantastic opportunity for bird watching.
Children of all ages are welcome at Forsyth Lodge.
