Accommodation & Facilities
Guests at Borneo Eagle Resort can choose one of three styles of beachfront villa, ranging in size from 177m2 to 288m2. All of the one-bedroom villas come with private decks or verandas and a host of amenities, from 55” flat-screen TVs and home theatre systems to spacious living and dining areas. The Pool Villa comes with a 45m2 swimming pool and private seaside pavilion; the Coral Villa has a calming fish pond and expansive garden; and the top-of-the-line Spa Villa boasts the largest square footage of all three villa styles. A wide range of holistic wellness, rejuvenation and beauty treatments are available, while the fitness centre offers guests the chance to work up a sweat during personal training sessions.
With a lounge, bar and restaurant available here, all with stunning ocean views, guests will be well catered for whatever time of day or evening they choose to make use of Borneo Eagle Resort’s chic wining and dining facilities. The open-air Eagle’s Nest restaurant adheres to a farm-to-table philosophy and serves refined cuisine in a relaxing beachfront setting, with the team of skilled local chefs utilising both Asian and Western flavours in their dishes. The Sand Bar is the perfect spot for a refreshing midday cocktail or light lunch, while The Landing is ideal for after-dinner drinks as the sun sets over Mount Kinabalu in the distance.
With the glittering expanse of the South China Sea right outside your door, there are plenty of water-based activities to enjoy here. Diving, fishing and kayaking can all be arranged, but it is the snorkelling that really stands out here. A high level of biodiversity can be observed living on and around the reef very near to the resort’s Coral Villas - part of a marine reserve - and the horizontal plane makes it ideal for snorkelers wanting to explore. Stargazing, island trekking, beach volleyball and a range of other exciting activities can also be arranged.
