Mobile Camp

A classic and expertly run mobile tented camp, Serengeti Safari Camp moves several times per year to follow the Great Migration, offering front-row access to one of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles.

This original mobile camp, offers a back-to-basics yet incredibly comfortable safari experience.

With a focus on quality guiding, authentic charm, and prime positioning throughout the year, it delivers a home-away-from-home feel in the heart of the bush. The camp is booked on a full-board basis, including all meals, drinks, game drives, and laundry.

Serengeti Safari Camp Location

The camp moves 4–5 times annually within Serengeti National Park to follow the Great Migration.

  • Dec–Mar: Southern Serengeti plains (calving season)
  • Apr–May: Moru Kopjes (rutting season)
  • Jun–Jul: Grumeti River (river crossings)
  • Aug–Nov: Northern Serengeti near Mara River

How to get to Serengeti Safari Camp

Fly to the nearest seasonal airstrip, with transfers to the camp included.

  • 6 Meru-style tents, including 1 two-bedroom family tent with interconnecting lounge

  • Mess tent with homely lounge area and help-yourself bar
  • Dining tent with long table for communal meals and optional alfresco dining around the campfire
