Kwihala Camp is a remote tented camp located within the Ruaha National Park, providing intimate access to the best game in the area. Due to the neutral style of the camp it easily blends into the breath-taking landscape. 

The game drives and guided walks from this camp are simply spectacular; the guides are renowned for being some of the best in Africa - their knowledge of the area is amazing often being able to spot game from some of the tiniest sounds out in the bush.

It is not uncommon for animals to attempt to join you for breakfast!

Setting

Kwihala Camp is situated in Ruaha which is one of the remotest areas in Africa, very close to the Mwagusi Sand River in the Mwagusi Valley.

Accommodation & Facilities

The six tents at Kwihala Camp are designed to blend in to the natural surroundings both in colour as well as the building materials themselves. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a flushing toilet and shower.

Laundry facilities are available within the camp and Wi-Fi is available in the manager's tent; mobile phones can be used in certain areas.

Dining

All meals are included at the Kwihala Camp - the main focus of each of the delicious dishes is locally produced fruits and vegetables. If you are embarking upon an early morning game drive breakfast can be served in the middle of the bush with a cold selection spread across the bonnet of your vehicle! In the evenings dinner can be served in the communal dining tent or (weather permitted) out under the African sky.

Activities

The focus at this camp is placed upon spotting and watching game; the camp has its own 4x4’s as well as renowned guides who will lead you to the amazing flora and fauna surrounding the camp. There are daily game drives as well as game walks.

Child Policy

The minimum age to stay at Kwihala Camp is 6, however the guidance from the camp is that a stay would be better suited for more mature children (13 and above) especially as there is wildlife wandering through the camp at all times!
