An intimate yet luxurious camp with a huge focus upon getting back to nature.
Kwihala Camp is situated in Ruaha which is one of the remotest areas in Africa, very close to the Mwagusi Sand River in the Mwagusi Valley.
Accommodation & Facilities
The six tents at Kwihala Camp are designed to blend in to the natural surroundings both in colour as well as the building materials themselves. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a flushing toilet and shower.
Laundry facilities are available within the camp and Wi-Fi is available in the manager's tent; mobile phones can be used in certain areas.
All meals are included at the Kwihala Camp - the main focus of each of the delicious dishes is locally produced fruits and vegetables. If you are embarking upon an early morning game drive breakfast can be served in the middle of the bush with a cold selection spread across the bonnet of your vehicle! In the evenings dinner can be served in the communal dining tent or (weather permitted) out under the African sky.
The focus at this camp is placed upon spotting and watching game; the camp has its own 4x4’s as well as renowned guides who will lead you to the amazing flora and fauna surrounding the camp. There are daily game drives as well as game walks.
The minimum age to stay at Kwihala Camp is 6, however the guidance from the camp is that a stay would be better suited for more mature children (13 and above) especially as there is wildlife wandering through the camp at all times!
