A relaxed and comfortable camp with an intimate atmosphere which doesn’t sacrifice on luxury.
From July to October the camp is situated in the near the Mara River of the Lamai Wedge area of the Serengeti National Park; as winter approaches the camp moves South with the migration.
Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the nine wood-and-canvas tented suites within the camp are en-suite with their own flushing toilet and hot bucket shower (refilled upon request). The canvas rooms are beautifully furnished and all have either double or twin beds; during the night you can hear the buzz of the surrounding game.
There are two communal tents in the centre of the camp - one of which is used during meals. Kimondo camp also has an open fire pit which is extremely popular with the guests especially to share stories over a sundowner. There is a laundry service available at the camp.
All meals and almost all drinks are included at Kimondo Camp; breakfast and dinner is served in a buffet form with a large cold selection as well as a variety of hot dishes which can be made to order. Lunch is flexible due to numerous game drives occurring each morning, perfect to come back and reflect on your exciting day. Dinner is more formal and consists of three courses; it takes place around a large communal table where you can trade stories about the amazing flora and fauna you have witnessed throughout the day.
The main focus within Kimondo Camp is upon game drives; with resident game often seen walking through the grounds of the camp itself. There are morning and afternoon game drives, as well as walking night safaris, which take place every day and are led by your experienced guide - many have lived in the area their entire lives.
