Plan your Tanzania Safari

A Tanzania safari is one of the ‘musts’ for any first-time safari goer. The Serengeti meaning ‘endless plains’ is the picture-perfect image that we all have in our heads for an African safari; herds of wildebeest grazing the plains, the lone acacia tree on the horizon as giraffes lollop past, a pride of lion patrolling the grasslands. Tanzania offers all this with world class camps and lodges to cater to your every need.

With no direct allegiance to any specific lodge or camp ownership, we at Natural World Safaris put you in the right place at the right time to maximise your expectations taking into consideration your dates of travel, budget, and specific requirements. From imitate privately owned camps and properties, to more permanent lodges with solid walls and air-conditioning, we will match you with the ideal accommodation to meet your needs.

Whilst Tanzania is renowned for its Big 5 sightings, there are also plenty of other attractions to combine it with. Track chimpanzees at the stunning Greystoke Camp in Mahale National Park, take in the breathtaking Ngrongoro Crater, track wild dogs in Nyerere, or alternatively take a few days to relax on the coast or on the tropical island of Zanzibar.

When to go to Tanzania depends on what you want to see, but if you want to take in the Great Migration, head for the months of June to October. December to February is the birthing season for a number of grazers such as wildebeest and therefore a good time for predator action as well. Having said that, February and September are some of our preferable months of travel as they avoid the peak travel months resulting in slightly less busier parks and therefore less busy sightings.
