Tanzania Honeymoon Safaris

Everything you need to know about honeymoons to South Africa...

If you’re determined to make your honeymoon the high point of your romance you need to go large. Specifically, you need some big five action to kick your marriage off in style.

And what better way to celebrate the brilliance of your nuptial decision-making than to surround yourselves with natural beauty on a South African honeymoon.

Tanzania is a hot bed for great wildlife safaris and a destination that is regularly featured on wildlife documentaries. Sharing the Great Migration with Kenya, Tanzania offers one of the best wildlife spectacles on earth and if you can experience this whilst on your honeymoon, you will have something that will remain with you forever.

Combining perfectly with the coastline and also Zanzibar, you have the fairly easy option of a few days to relax on the beach either at the beginning or end of your honeymoon.

Well if you have never been there before then everyone needs to experience the Ngorongoro Crater; stay on the Crater’s edge itself at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge or alternatively some of the beautifully designed properties a short drive away such as Plantation Lodge or Gibbs Farm. For some serious Serengeti action stay in the lovely Dunia Tented Camp in the heart of the national park, or alternatively the luxurious Sayari Camp, a hotspot for the migration and river crossings during the months of August – October.

Other personal favourites include the personally run Serian Serengeti Camp and the Serengeti mobile Kusini camp, offering you your own private vehicle at no extra cost and professional guiding to the extent that they will avoid any crowds and still ensure you get some serious game viewing under your belt.

Even in the dry season Tanzania has a lot to offer and you will avoid any unnecessary crowds on sightings.

The best times to go to Tanzania however are from June – October and December – March.
