A luxurious and intimate safari lodge

Setting

High up on a rocky hill, with commanding views over the Ulusaba Game Reserve and the Drakenberg Mountains in the background, Rock Lodge is accessed via the Ulusaba Airstrip – about an hour and twenty minutes flight from Johannesburg.

Accommodation & Facilities

Décor combines traditional safari styles with modern twists for the ultimate in comfort. There are 4 Rock Cliff Rooms, 1 Master Suite, 2 Makwela Suites and a 2 bedroom Rock Suite. Each room and suite is air-conditioned with a private deck, spacious and unique design, and ample amenities to cater for you. The Makwela Suites and split lever Master suite have private plunge pools and are the perfect spot for some romance. The Rock Suite is great for those who with to bring their children.

Take some time to enjoy cocktails at the pool, work out in the gym or relax under the stars in the observatory. There is a laundry service included and you can even head out to enjoy a spot of tennis.

Dining

Cuisine here is world renowned and each and every dietary requirement can be catered for.

Activities

There are 2 games drives per day, as well as game walks, star gazing in the observatory or informative talks. You have a great chance of spotting the big 5, especially with the help of their fully qualified tracker and guide. If you wish to stay in, you can relax in the lounge with a DVD or a book, or take part in a spot of wine tasting.

Child Policy

Children are welcome and can join Ulusaba’s Cub’s Club where there are plenty of activities for children of all ages.
