Accommodation & Facilities
Lagoon Lodge is the ultimate private getaway, with beautiful suites with stone and glass walls and open decks to welcome those breathtaking views. The bathtubs in each room are big enough for two and there is a private outdoor shower for a more African bush experience. Follow the boardwalk under the tree canopy to the lounge where you can enjoy food and drinks. There is also a heated plunge pool overlooking the mountains.
The 4 cottages are self catering and vary in size. Duminy Cottage, constructed from limestone and mosaic, is ideal for families with a huge living space, 2 large verandas and an upper deck with panoramic mountain and lagoon views. This cottage sleeps up to nine people at a time, with 2 bedrooms and a loft space with 5 twin beds – great for all the children to stay together. There are 3 Milkwood cottages, sleeping from 3 to eight guests at a time, each equally beautiful with outstanding attention to detail and wonderful natural touches.
Dining
Those staying in the cottages are self catered and come with cooking amenities. Those staying in the Lagoon Lodge will have the pleasure of full breakfast and a sumptuous 3 course dinner. At the 1892 Spookhuis Country Café you can enjoy fabulous picnic baskets under the ancient milkwood trees. There is a nice market here for all the self-catering guests.
Activities
Close to Walker Bay, you are in one of the best spots in the world for whale watching. You can also enjoy sunset cruises on the lagoon, beach excursions, quad biking, kayaking, guided nature walks and bird watching. Wine tasting is available and due to Mosaic’s central location, you can also take part in activities such as shark cage diving.
