Lodge Details
Style
An exclusive large home in a separate fenced area away from the other two Morukuru Family houses.
Setting
Positioned on the other side of the mountain to the other two houses, Morukuru Farm House allows for complete privacy and relaxation. The 100-hectare area surrounding it is fenced and means that children can play freely and general game can roam.
Accommodation and Facilities
Morukuru Farm House can accommodate up to 10 people at a time, including children of all ages. Each large room has an en-suite bathroom and all are bright and modern with items from local artists and craftsmen. The living room has a cosy fireplace in the centre and a large table to enjoy meals together – if you’d prefer to eat al fresco, meals can also be served at the table in the courtyard. The 15m private pool welcomes you to cool off in the heat and in the evening guests can gather around the fire on the veranda and enjoy the night skies of Africa.
There are 8 staff at the house including a private guide, a private tracker, a chef, host, butler and housekeeping. There is a nanny service also available if required.
Dining
Your private chef ensures all dietary requirements are established prior to arrival and will create culinary delights based on any specifications. Guests have the opportunity to join the chef in the kitchen to learn new skills and give a hand with preparing the meals (if they wish!).
Meals can be served in the house, al fresco in the court yard and even out in the bush.
Activities
There are no schedules at Morukuru Farm House as activities can be enjoyed at the discretion of the guests. Whether a game drive is wanted during the day or in the evening, the Morukuru Family will cater for guest’s wishes where able.
Game drives are through the incredible Madikwe Game Reserve and promise a true adventure with sightings of the Big 5 and potentially the elusive wild dog.
Child Policy
Guests of all ages are welcome.
