Lodge Details
Style
An extremely luxurious camp with impressive service and friendly atmosphere
Setting
Ideally located in the private game reserve of Kapama.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are fifteen suites available at Kapama Southern Camp all of which are en-suite and are traditionally furnished with authentic woods and silk fabrics. A proud addition to the camp came in December 2013 where a number of luxury suites (covering 85m2) and family suites with interconnecting bedrooms were completed. Each of these suites comes with their own private lap pool in front of the suite and the luxury suites have a private patio overlooking the plains and an outdoor shower.
Dining
During your stay at Kapama Southern Camp all of your meals are included and delicately prepared by the experienced chef. Many of the ingredients have been sourced from the local area including meats, fruits and vegetables, all used to provide you with delectable dishes every day. Both breakfasts and lunches are served in the open-sided restaurant- so don’t be surprised if you have an uninvited guest join you at meal times! Dinner is usually served al fresco (weather permitting) around the boma fire where traditional South African meals are served; the chefs may also use the open fire to cook upon in true African style.
Activities
Being remarkably situated within a Big 5 reserve the main focus here is upon discovering the incredible wildlife which calls these plains home. Daily game drives take place in both the morning and afternoon to ensure you have the best chance of spotting the fauna of the area. Your knowledgeable guides will be on hand to enable you to see as many animals as possible as well as giving you detailed information about the magnificent creatures. You will also have the opportunity to explore the grounds by foot with the assistance of a local guide.
Child Policy
Children are welcome at Kapama Southern Camp but it should be noted that children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives.
