What to do

The stunning beaches and striking scenery of Cape Town make the ideal introduction to South Africa. The Garden Route, a long stretch of coast between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, has everything from ancient forests and mountains to secluded art communities and luscious beaches with possible whale and dolphin sightings. When it comes to wildlife, South Africa has some of the finest reserves in Africa, many of them small with a high animal density, so you can see more in a short amount of time, ideal for those youngsters with a short attention span. Although with lots of zebra, giraffes, elephant, lions and leopards, we’re sure keeping their attention in these incredible areas of rolling savannah won’t be a problem!

For those interested in a bit of history and culture, there are lots of old battlefields all over South Africa that are accessible to interested tourists.

You can even stay within a recreated Zulu cultural village at Shakaland, east of Durban, to watch traditional gum boot dances, watch hunting demos and even have a consultation with a witch doctor to heal any ailments..!
