Situated in the northern region of Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Chitwa Chitwa is set on the shores of the reserves largest lake, offering incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. With a design that combines both style and comfort, Chitwa Chitwa consists of 10 suites and one large private villa, each with their own sun deck and plunge pool.

Chitwa Chitwa boasts MAGNIFICENT VIEWS over the nearby lake, a popular watering hole for wildlife.

Set on the banks of the largest dam in Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, near two large lakes providing excellent game viewing opportunities.

Accommodation & Facilities

Chitwa Chitwa comprises six suites and a private villa with two bedrooms. Each of the suites is individually and thoughtfully decorated to balance style and comfort, with a private lakeview deck and private plunge pool. The Charlsy Suite offers two connected rooms joined by a cosy lounge area and a spacious outdoor deck with swimming pool. All of the suites can accommodate up to two extra beds for children under 12.

Chitwa House is the lodges private villa, consisting of two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, dining area and lakeview deck with swimming pool. Guests of Chitwa House will also have their own in-house butler, chef, private safari vehicle and guide.

Facilities in the lodge include a library, boutique, gym and spa, as well as a sunset deck with rim-flow swimming pool.


Food is of a high standard and accompanied by wines from the lodge’s own wine cellar, served in the open-air boma restaurant or, for guests staying in Chitwa House, in the elegant dining area.


Chitwa Chitwa is ideally situated for exploring the Sabi Sands Reserve, and most of the activities at the lodge are catered to delivering incredible wildlife sightings. Guests will head out on game drives and bush walks in the reserve, where they will have a good chance of encountering all of the ‘big five’, joined by the lodge’s experienced guides and Shangaan trackers. When not on safari, guests can head out on a guided village tour to meet the local Dixie community.

Children welcome, but only children aged six or over are allowed on safari.
