Accommodation & Facilities
Each room at Ibo Island Lodge is uniquely designed giving you an authentic and different experience depending on which room you will be staying in. There is a mixture of sea-facing, historical and garden rooms. Each of the rooms have their own private en-suite, four poster beds and magnificent vistas from each type of room. All 14 rooms are fully air-conditioned and filled with authentic antiques.
All meals are included during your stay at Ibo Island Lodge; each are comprised of natural, fresh ingredients including fish caught extremely close to the lodge itself. For both breakfast and lunch you can choose to dine in the privacy of your own terrace, on the white sands of the beach or beneath the shade of the tropical gardens. Dinner is a slightly more extravagant affair with your food being served to you on the rooftop terrace with the sounds of the waves and even the dolphins to accompany you.
There is definitely something to keep everyone entertained at Ibo Island Lodge. As the lodge is located within the Quirimbas archipelago the lodge has its own private dhow in which you can island hop and even stay the night on some of these tiny islands. Mozambique also boasts some fantastic snorkelling and diving sites and Ibo Island is no different; there are a number of sites surrounding the lodge with a range for all abilities. There is also a dolphin safari on offer where you will have the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins in their natural habitat for a number of hours.
Older children are welcome at Ibo Island Lodge but it should be noted that the atmosphere can be mature and the design of the lodge fragile. Children under the age of 12 are only accommodated by special arrangement.
