This is not a safari for the faint-hearted. This is an expedition into one of the most remote corners of the Sahara — the northeastern Tibesti Mountains and Ouri Plains of Chad, where very few travellers have ever ventured.
Here, you’ll encounter landscapes of multi-coloured sandstone, volcanic flows, rock cathedrals, and towering dunes, as well as haunting remnants of colonial forts and megalithic structures. Every day reveals new layers of history, from prehistoric rock art depicting elephants, hunters, and dancers, to nomadic encounters that connect you to the desert’s living traditions.
Fly-camping beneath star-strewn skies, washing in bush showers every few days, and journeying by rugged 4x4, this expedition is for true adventurers seeking authenticity, challenge, and discovery in one of the last untouched frontiers on Earth.
Arrive in N’Djamena, Chad’s bustling capital. Relax at your hotel and prepare for the journey ahead.
