About the Pacific Yellowfin, British Columbia

This luxurious private charter of the Pacific Yellowfin gives you a unique opportunity to discover the wildlife and waterways of British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest. Originally built during the Second World War, the yacht has been meticulously refitted with enough modern amenities to ensure maximum comfort without sacrificing its classic nautical style or the pervading sense of tradition and history. Whether from on deck or while using one of the many other methods of getting around that are brought along by the Pacific Yellowfin's crew - including kayaks, paddle boards and mountain bikes - you'll be able to enjoy memorable wildlife encounters during your stay aboard this luxury yacht.

This grand old ship is 114 ft in length and under the mastery of Captain Colin Griffinson, a man keen to share his exceptional knowledge of the area with both adults and children alike.

Accommodation & Facilities

Each of these individual cabins has an antique feel and great care has been taken to ensure that the varnished woodwork is in keeping with the rest of the vessel. The grand nautical feel spreads throughout the top, main and lower decks as well as its four rooms, each one bright and airy with ample space, warm décor, en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and DVD players. The Captain's Stateroom commands wonderful views of the ocean, while the Owner's Stateroom has a private door to the main deck for sneak previews of what the day has in store. The Bear's Cabin is perfect for a family of four and the Orca Cabin’s unique space, featuring wood-panelled walls, is ideal for an intimate stay of two to three guests.

This is a highlight, whether you want to feast on your catch of the day on the Fantail Deck or enjoy some oysters for lunch on the main deck. The Pacific Yellowfin team pride themselves on using sustainably caught seafood in their exquisite farm-to-table cuisine, inspired by the tastes and traditions of the Pacific Northwest.

As well as fantastic scenery, hikes, fishing and wildlife-viewing, there are a whole host of other things to do on land and at sea here to keep even the most active of minds busy. There are paddle boards and kayaks on board for those wanting to take to the water, as well as mountain bikes and motorised scooters for land-based excursions. Three tender boats allow you easy access to secluded coves and inlets during your safari, while the more adventurous can indulge in waterskiing, wakeboarding or tubing. You can even make use of the water trampolines and 40 ft inflatable water slide that will take you from the top deck all the way down to the water! And after a long day of wild activities are behind you, you can always relax in the comfortable hot tub.

Child Policy

Children are more than welcome and Captain Colin is fantastic at keeping the entire family entertained with activities and stories of life at sea.
