About Haida House, Haida Gwaii

Haida House is a comfortable wilderness lodge located on the Haida Gwaii archipelago off the coast of British Columbia. This remote lodge is perfectly positioned for black bear viewing, learning about the area’s rich cultural history and taking in the beauty of the region. 

Taan is the largest subspecies of black bear in north america and is found roaming the area surrounding the lodge.

Accommodation & Facilities

This intimate lodge has all the facilities to make for a comfortable stay while not detracting from the natural surroundings with unnecessary technology. With just 12 guest rooms, the lodge retains its cosy atmosphere as well as offering top quality personal service for all guests. All rooms comprise twin or double beds and private washroom facilities as well as fantastic views of the surrounding area.

Enjoy the rugged environment with daily activities, dine on outstanding cuisine and learn about the culture and history of the Haida people through informative sessions with local artists and cultural ambassadors.
