Accommodation & Facilities
The categories of accommodation are master suite, junior suite and premium suite. Each style has a ‘Smart System’, meaning that a majority of the electronic items in the room can be controlled via a remote. All rooms also have air-conditioning, a coffee maker, a flat screen TV, a safe, phone service and internet access. Rooms all have private bathrooms with a waterfall shower and have access to exotic gardens as well as stunning views of the volcano. Junior Suites have a terrace for comfortable view of the gardens and volcano; either from a rocking chair or bathtub. Premium suites are larger than the junior, and are also slightly closer to the main hotel amenities. The master suites have two rooms and are great for families, groups of friends or honeymooners. There are also two bathrooms and a private pool with breathtaking views and each room is rustic in design and very comfortable.
There is a children’s pool, adult’s pool, jacuzzi and wet bar, as well as a restaurant and computer for those who did not bring their laptop.
Dining
The restaurant serves a variety of delicious national and international foods, and in the wet bar you can enjoy both national and international liquors.
Activities
Enjoy a walk to the volcano which starts by driving to the north-western side, then hiking through Las Colada Trail which crosses the rainforest and a huge lava flow formed in 1992. Combine some hiking with horseback riding (no experience necessary), either to the crystal rivers and waterfall, or to the volcano. You can also head to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge - one of the best sites for bird watching on the continent, the Venado Caves - a fascinating adventure through chambers and passages to see bats, rock formation and stalactites, explore Rio Celeste – beautiful turquoise pools and waterfalls, or visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges for a tour of this 600 acres reserves filled with lush vegetation and a variety of flora and fauna.
