Hotel Belmar is located in the luscious green mountains of Monteverde in the Cerro Plano region. Staying here you will find yourself surrounded by the beauty of the cloud forest and its variety of wildlife and dense vegetation famous to the area.

Fusing tropical and classical styles, the hotel blends beautifully with the surrounding greenery. Rooms are exquisitely and comfortably fashioned with hardwood-floors, a central bed, sitting area, and private hot water bathroom. The rooms are decorated with native artwork and soft lighting, and extend outdoors onto balconies that overlook the mountains. The Jacuzzi has stunning panoramic views of the Gulf of Nicoya, there is also a basketball court and game room, which hosts a well-maintained pool table and TV. Outside you will find the self-guided forest trail.


The Celajes Restaurant features wonderful balconies overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Only the best ingredients are used, many of which are grown on the hotel property itself or on the Belmar family organic farm. 


Visitors to Monteverde will surely enjoy a visit to the Monteverde Cheese Factory, where they can sample of its delectable cheeses and ice cream and learn about the history of the region. Hikes through the cloud forest reserves are undeniably exciting, as are canopy tours and hanging bridge tours, mountain bike rides, and horseback treks. It is also worth visiting the Frog Pond, the Butterfly Garden, and the various insect museums.
