Day 1

Arrive Iguassu Falls

You still start your adventure by arriving in Sao Paulo (Brazil) before connecting to an afternoon flight to the stunning waterfalls of Iguassu, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel on the Argentinian side of the falls. On the way we will visit the Brazilian side of the falls, where you will be able to appreciate the best panoramic views of Iguassu - one of the greatest natural wonders in South America.

Overnight: Loi Suites Iguazu

Day 2

Iguassu Falls

This morning, your expert guide will take you inside the Argentinian national park. This side of the falls is more of an extensive network of paths and trails taking you to within touching distance of the falls. You'll venture to the furthest point and the largest and most spectacular of all of the cascades – The Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo). From here you will really feel the full force of the falls as they thunder and spray around you. The sound of the cascading water is almost impossibly loud! After your tour, the rest of your day is free to spend at leisure. You may opt to take a boat trip which can bring you close to the base of the falls and which can be a wet but entertaining experience. There are also some safari trails, allowing you to see the local flora and fauna such as coati, hummingbirds and toucans in the nearby sub-tropical rainforest.

Overnight: Loi Suites Iguazu (B)

Day 3

Iguassu - Esteros del Ibera

Take a stroll around the site and learn a little about the history of the Jesuit Missionaries. After your visit, continue on south, through the city of Posadas and in to the Esteros del Ibera beyond.  Arrive at your ranch-style lodge located on the edge of the Esteros del Ibera, where you will enjoy dinner from the kitchen, which serves organic fruits and vegetables from the garden on the lodge grounds, as well as free range meat.

Overnight: Estancia Rincon del Socorro (B, D)

Days 4-5

Esteros del Ibera

You will have the next two days to enjoy some of the excursions on offer at the lodge, which will visit some of the remote areas of the Esteros del Ibera as part of your stay. Choose from horse riding in the marshlands amongst the flora and fauna, nature walks, bike rides, bird watching, boat rides and night safaris to maximise your wildlife experiences. This is a wetland habitat, similar to the Pantanal in Brazil, although not as large or as developed. There may be sightings of wildlife, such as caimans and, if you’re lucky you may even spot a jaguar. Bird lovers will also find this area abundant with over 300 different species, including some that are endangered, such as black and white monjita and yellow cardinal.

The rest of the day is spent at your own leisure.

Day 7

Buenos Aires

Back in the centre we will show you the President's Palace, The Congress Building and one of the finest examples of architecture in the city, the Colon Theatre, all of which exude grandeur.  The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, perhaps strolling through the quirky antique district of San Telmo, before being taken to Esquina Carlos Gardel in the evening for a live tango show that is sure to impress.
