Day 1

Arrive in Sydney

Welcome to Sydney! You will be met and privately transferred to your hotel. Check in toThe Langham, Sydney and have the afternoon at your own leisure.

Day 2

Sydney - Bamurra Plains

This morning you will check out of your hotel and privately transfer to Sydney Domestic Terminal for your flight to Darwin, before connecting on your internal flight to Bamurra. You will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Bamurra Plains Safari Bungalow. After check-in, the afternoon is at your own leisure, as your scheduled activities will be outlined to you for the coming days ahead

Days 3-4

Bamurra Plains

Wilderness and wildlife are the main attraction at Bamurru. During your days here take part in activities including: crocspotting river cruises by airboat, 4WD safaris, wildlife viewing and walking expeditions. Buffaloes, wallabies, and kangaroos are in abundance, and wild pigs are often spotted too. Take a morning trip out on the plains in the airboat. where your guide will provide you with a hands on demonstration of the many uses of flora from the wetlands, as you look out for crocodiles slowly swimming. Fishing as conducted as a guided only experience, with river excursions on the Sampan Creek also available.

Day 5

Bamurra Plains - Bullo River Station

This morning you will depart Bamurra Plains. After checkout, you will privately transfer to the airport to catch your flight for Bullo River Station. Upon arrival, you will be met and privately transferred to the hotel, where you will check-in and have the rest of your afternoon at leisure.

Days 6-8

Bullo River Station

For anyone who wants to learn some real Aussie bushcraft, this is the place for you. Your adventures might include barramundi fishing, horse riding, 4WD safaris, cruising along the gorge and mustering activities (seasonal). It’s not all action though, you can find the perfect spot to read a book and take a leisurely swim in a remote waterhole, or explore the landscape by helicopter. Journey on horseback, or take out the quad bikes to explore the outdoors at a different speed. If you are after a more sedate option, enjoy a fishing trip with some scenic motoring up freshwater creeks.

Day 9

Bullo River Station to Daintree Rainforest

After check out in the morning, you will be privately transferred to the airport for your early morning flight to Darwin. From Darwin, you will connect to Cairns. Upon arrival, you will be and transferred to your hotel. Once checked in, take the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 10

Daintree Rainforest

Begin your first day in the rainforest by driving north along the spectacular coastline and through cane fields to the Daintree River. You will enter the Daintree section of the World Heritage protected rainforest, the oldest continuously growing rainforest on Earth – a place of spectacular beauty, rugged mountains, deep gorges and flowing rivers with numerous waterfalls. Surrounded by the magnificent Daintree mangroves & rainforest, you will board the Cooper Creek Cruise with a private river guide and no other boats to scare away the wildlife. The wildlife you will see includes rainforest and water birds, snakes, frogs and of course estuarine or saltwater crocodiles. The naturalist guides are real locals and their passion for the local environment and wildlife is reflected in their presentations. Your day will finish as you take a stroll on a near-deserted beach that is one of the few places in the world where 2 World Heritage areas sit side by side.

Day 11

Cooktown

This morning depart early for your adventure to Cooktown. Driving in an off road 4wd vehicle head north towards Cape Tribulation where this will be your first stop. Stroll on a near deserted beach that is one of the few places in the world where 2 World Heritage areas sit side by side. You will have morning tea under the forest canopy, and after your hike you will continue on to the famous bloomfeild track , before coming to the second stop on private aboriginal land and beach called Stingray Beach. You will meet your guide Mooks, who will take you down to the edge of the salt water mangroves and highlight the amazing wildife and ecosystems. You will continue driving north towards the community of Wujal Wujal, the drive is an unforgettable experience, with spectacular views, creek crossings and secluded beaches. Yo uwill have lunch on the river before visiting the famous Lion's Den Hotel built in 1875. After check in at your hotel, you will be given time to freshen up before your guide will collect you and take you to grassy hill, where the sunset from the summit is a breathe taking sight over looking the endeavour river.

Day 12

Cooktown

After a leisurely breakfast, your guide will walk with you along the history trail and explain the significance of the town discovered by Captain James Cook in 1770. Cooktown became a thriving port during the gold rush era and is in a region rich with history. The heritage buildings, museums and monuments form a fascinating streetscape that reflects the town’s rich and colourful history. The Nature’s Powerhouse facility, located in the historic Botanic Gardens will be your venue for lunch and an opportunity to stroll through the gardens. Visit the James Cook Museum, where the story of Cook’s landing is told from the Aboriginal perspective. After lunch journey out of town to the local Trevathan Falls. Cool off with a swim in the beautiful cool waterhole. . On your way back to Cooktown you will have a stop at the wetlands of Keatings Lagoon to see the abundant wildlife and birdlife that frequent this spot. This natural freshwater lagoon traps and holds wet season runoff and creates an ideal habitat for wetland vegetation, which provide abundant food for animals and migratory water birds. On arrival back to your accommodation, you will have some free time before dinner.

Day 13

Cooktown-Cairns

Enjoy breakfast before heading into the true outback and driving on the amazing Battle Camp road towards old Laura Homestead. Here you will marvel at this wilderness and views of the Laura escarpments, the old railway line that travelled from Cooktown to the Gold Fields of early 1872 and the Palmer River. From here, travel on to the Old Laura Road towards Split Rock to view the rock art in the escarpment overlooking the Laura River. The worldrenowned Quinkan Rock Art Sites are listed by UNESCO as being among the top 10 sites in the world. After lunch in Laura start the trip back south towards Mossman and travel through stunning outback country. Stopping at beautiful lookouts and seeing the sunset setting over the Mountain Range. Arrive back into Cairns and your accommodation that evening.

Day 14

Cairns

This morning you will check out of your hotel, before being privately transferred to the airport for your onward flight home.
