Bush & Beach

Choosing between a high-paced bush experience and a tranquil seaside getaway is difficult. From the iconic savannah grasslands of the Serengeti to the otherworldly dunes of the Namib Desert, from the idyllic volcanic waters of Mauritius to the stretching coastline of Mozambique – why not combine both for the ultimate African adventure. Whilst the early starts on African safaris are definitely worth it for the best wildlife viewing opportunities, there’s hardly a better place to reflect on your wildlife escapades than on a tropical beach worthy of any postcard.

There is nowhere else like Africa on the planet. From the misty jungles of Central Africa to the otherworldly dunes of the Namib Desert, from the iconic savannah grasslands of the Masai Mara and Serengeti, to the dramatic features of the Great Rift Valley – Africa is remarkable.

African safaris generally involve early starts for the best wildlife viewing opportunities at the crack of dawn. It is no surprise, given the easy accessibility of the Indian Ocean, that many safaris incorporate both bush and beach, providing for relaxing downtime on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world at the end of your holiday.

At Natural World Safaris we have access to some sensational barefoot beach escapes that blend seamlessly in terms of logistics with our favourite camps and lodges. Experience Africa at its very best waking up to the saw-like grunt of a leopard, or the deep bone-trembling roar of lions and ending it to the sound of waves lapping against the shore.
