Residence Mauritius

An intriguing and luxurious mix of colonial styles and modern amenities on a coast peppered with lagoons and coves.

About Residence Mauritius, Mauritius

Capturing the elegance and style of a bygone era, the design of The Residence Mauritius is inspired by plantation houses from the 1920’s, yet is combined with the cool grace and amenities of the modern day. Nestled into tropical gardens on a strip of white sandy beach that lasts nearly a mile, this colonial retreat is the ultimate in luxury and with your very own personal butler, you wont have to lift a finger.

The lure of The Residence is hard to resist, with dramatic vaulted ceilings complimented by modern ivory and honey hues, as well as views to the ocean or the verdant gardens. There are 135 oversized guest rooms and 28 sumptuous suites, some with direct access to that platinum beach, but all with their own private balcony or terrace.

Lodge Details

With an exterior inspired by old plantation houses from the 1920’s and an interior that successfully combines old sepia photos with the luxuries of the modern day, this is the ultimate Mauritius retreat. Fairly large by our standards, each room and suite provides secluded living in a tranquil atmosphere, all the way complimented by the shimmering ocean and green garden views.

Located on the east coast of Mauritius, a place renowned for its beauty, The Residence Mauritius is 48 kilometres from the airport and sheltered from the southeast winds. Right on a stunning beach, one kilometre in length, on a coast peppered with lagoons and coves, it nestles comfortably in its very own 25 acre fragrant gardens.
