Ryan Valasek

Ryan Valasek is a professional lifestyle and adventure photographer. Growing up in Southern California, Ryan’s love of the outdoors has seen him log countless hours of surfing, snowboarding, motorcycle riding and backpacking in the Golden State and further afield. His photographic expertise has been honed in the wilderness, where he has extensive experience.

Ryan has worked as a photographer for sustainable clothing company Seager since its inception four years ago. The Seager Company is part of 1% for the Planet, a global movement whose members contribute at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes. Seager contributes directly to environmental nonprofits that help preserve state and national parks in the United States, protecting the West as it once was.

Ryan’s photographic skills have also been shaped by two years assisting and shooting for Chris Burkard, the acclaimed explorer and outdoor photographer whose visionary work and catalogue of awards have seen him accrue over 3 million followers on his Instagram channel @chrisburkard. Ryan – who goes by @snackfarmer on the social media platform – has already established himself as one to watch in the industry, with his thirst for adventure and expert photographic eye catching the attention of an international audience.
