Ranging from Classic to Luxury rooms and up to the Prestige, Opera and Imperial Suites, all accommodation is either in a colonial or republican style. All accommodation is very luxurious and spacious, some with marble floors other featuring polished wood or tiles, beds are large and very comfortable – perfect for sinking into after a day out in busy Cartagena. Most rooms and suites have balconies with views over the gardens, the city or the Caribbean ocean. The environment in these rooms is warm and comfortable and tastefully designed, kept simple yet authentically appealing. Guest accommodation all has flat screen TVs, a safe, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi as well as a mini bar and security peephole.

The 2 restaurants provide wonderful food and the hip El Coro (The Choir) Lounge makes some of the best coco-limeades around. Enjoy the spacious pool, head to the gardens for some peace and tranquillity or take some time out for the very luxurious and indulgent spa…

El Claustro (the faculty) restaurant has a cosy feel and serves traditional style cuisine, both a la carte and buffet style. 1621 Restaurant ‘embodies the culinary traditions of the old world’ by serving exquisite cuisine, suitable for even the fussiest of eaters! Reservations here are recommended, or you could head out and dine alfresco in Santo Domingo Square.

Activities

Explore the historic streets of Cartagena, relax on the white sandy beach or snorkel and scuba dive at the nearby Rosario Islands.. The hotel is close to historical monuments, museums and botanical gardens, as well as the Laguito Lake. The cinema district is not too far off, or you could go watch an performance at the Heredia Theatre, originally built in 1911 as an opera house.
