Camping under canvas amidst amazing Sri Lankan wildlife in luxury, tracking wildlife with such fantastic guides allows for spectacular sightings.
The camp generally conducts its safaris in Uda Wallawe, Wilipattu and Yala National Parks, three parks known for their diverse terrain and spectacular wildlife. Look out for leopards at Yala and elephants at Uda Wallawe and keep your eyes peeled for sloth bears, crocodiles, civet cats, monkey’s and so much more.
Accommodation & Facilities
The tents are set up well in advance of guest’s arrival and the camp sites are well laid out with seating and hammocks.
Guest tents are large with comfortable queen sized beds, en-suite toilets, seating and storage room. They are also completely sealed the stop any unwanted visitors in the night!
3 delicious meals, prepared in a customised kitchen, are served per day – as well as drinks and snacks on safari. Dining is al fresco, usually by a lake or water-hole and at night the camp is lit by flaming torches creating a real Sri Lankan romanticism.
2 driving safaris are the norm per day, one in the morning and one early afternoon. If you prefer you can skip one or two and just relax at camp, soaking up the sights, sounds and smells of your natural surroundings. Drives are done in customised 4WD vehicles, which cushioned elevated seats and the naturalists and guides are fantastic, great at tracking your preferred wildlife for the day.
Children are welcome, there are no facilities but a family sized tents can be arranged.
