Namiri Plains

About Namiri Plains, serengeti

Namiri Plains is located within the Serengeti National Park - in an area which has been inaccessible to the public for 20 years. The area has been a cheetah sanctuary prior to being the base for this camp and it has been claimed that there is the highest density of cheetah in Africa.

In Swahili the camps name ‘Namiri’ translates as big cat which is extremely appropriate for the camp and its setting.

With its remote location do not be surprised if you have an uninvited guest join you at meal times.
