Accommodation & Facilities

This resort has 40 deluxe rooms, all located just a stone’s throw from the beach. The rooms are furnished to the highest standard with a mix of local design and modern functionality. All rooms feature a private terrace providing stunning ocean vistas. 10 suites are located on the beach itself, made up of separate bedroom and living room as well as a large terrace overlooking the waters below. The suites are decorated in a contemporary style with local materials used to add to the overall look and feel of the suite. The resort also has a large swimming pool at its centre

The resort has three restaurants, each offering their own take on the Mozambican dining experience. Each restaurant offers a selection of traditional dishes as well as freshly caught fish; Assinatura provides a buffet-style breakfast each morning and an extensive international à la carte menu; Brisa Do Mar is an open-air restaurant located next to the swimming pool, specialising in canapés and fresh oven-baked pizzas; and the Sea You Restaurant is open for evening meals only, serving a selection of local fish dishes in a more refined dining environment. A gourmet picnic service is also available on request, so you can take a stroll along the beach and enjoy your lunch with the Indian Ocean stretching out before you.

The Mequfi Beach Resort caters for people looking for a place to relax and unwind as well as those seeking a bit more adventure. Whale watching is possible during the months of August and September, and throughout the year an extraordinary variety of fish, turtles, dugongs and corals can be observed by keen snorkelers. Pemba is renowned for its Portuguese colonial architecture, while the local markets are a great place for those wanting to immerse themselves in traditional Mozambican culture.
