Job Overview

This is a busy and varied position so a flexible working attitude and willingness to pitch in is key. The role supports our worldwide Product team throughout the year, with a focus on Polar Operations for approximately 8 months a year.

You must have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be highly organised and self-motivated.

Salary: £16,000 - £20,000 (pro rata)

Job Title: Product Operations Assistant


Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the varied day-to-day tasks of a busy Product Team;
  • Supporting the Polar Product Manager with the operation of our Polar charter season including:
    • Regular liaison with overseas suppliers by phone and email;
    • Organisation of overseas transfers;
    • Regular liaison with our Expedition Team including booking of travel and accommodation, guide documentation, etc.;
    • Planning and logistics of sending equipment overseas;
    • Collating feedback for suppliers and our Expedition Team;
  • Managing and organising the company’s Brand Service Deliverables stock;
  • Assisting with building and updating new or revised products;
  • Assisting with distribution of branding to our overseas partners;
  • Assisting with distribution of products to industry partners.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an operations role preferred – ideally coordinating logistics worldwide within the travel industry;
  • Ability to create documentation with a high degree of accuracy, and on time;
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to take ownership for completing tasks;
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel (and the rest of the Microsoft Office programs), as well as Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Sheets and proficient computer skills;
  • Ability to learn tour operating computer systems.
