Where have you travelled to in the last 12 months?
Hiking in Austria (Bad Ischl)
Where are you planning to travel in the next 12 months?
Mexico for the food, culture and marine wildlife. Italy is a favourite destination for a short cultural break.
What is your first travel-related memory?
I remember the first time I visited North Cyprus to visit family (my dad is Cypriot); it opened my eyes to different cultures, foods, smells and stunning Mediterranean landscapes. I felt like a different person when I came back home. That realisation of my foreign heritage and of a bigger world to explore.
Aisle or window seat?
Window for short-haul – to catch any interesting views. Long-haul I would opt for aisle as it's easier to get up and stretch my legs.
Do you have any travel habits or rituals?
I probably pack and re-pack a few times as I like to travel as light as possible.
What are you most likely to splurge on while travelling?
Eating out at restaurants – I like to experience the local food. But I also like to try new things, so if it’s something that I can only experience in that country, I will make every effort to try it.
What’s your favourite thing about working at NWS?
Working with people who share my passion for travel and wildlife.
What do you like doing outside of NWS?
I love getting out in the countryside or on the beach, whether it be a full-on hike or a walk to a country pub.
If you could do just one NWS safari, which one would it be?
Either the polar expeditions or an African safari to see the Big Five. Both would be a trip of a lifetime and a totally new adventure for me.
Is there a standout destination in your mind?
There are too many places for me to choose from!
What is your best travel souvenir?
I bought two clay bulls in Peru that the local villagers use to put on their rooves to protect their houses. Memories and friends that I’ve made on my travels.
What is the best travel advice you have received?
To keep an open mind and leave room for spontaneity.
What is your spirit animal?
I got wolf – they are social, loyal and intelligent…
