Where have you travelled to in the last 12 months?
Thailand, Flores, Lombok, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bali, Greece and Switzerland!
Where are you planning to travel in the next 12 months?
Possibly Budapest for a few days, but my plan is to work for a while and save up for my next big adventure.
What is your first travel-related memory?
A long-haul flight with two younger brothers. The youngest one was newborn and screamed the whole way there… I was very embarrassed.
Aisle or window seat?
When I was young, the window seat was the best seat. But recently I’d say aisle. You don’t have to climb over any strangers when you need to stretch your legs.
Do you have any travel habits or rituals?
I always end up packing so last minute, the night before my flight. It’s a bad habit…
What are you most likely to splurge on while travelling?
A luxury place to stay for a night amongst the endless hostels.
What’s your favourite thing about working at NWS?
Learning about all the amazing places from our Destination Specialists that I can look forward to visiting one day (hopefully)!
What do you like doing outside of NWS?
Every now and then I’m happy to sit for hours painting. I also enjoy cooking and discovering new places to go out to and have a drink. Apparently there’s a pub for every day of the year in Brighton!
If you could do just one NWS safari, which one would it be?
Any of the mountain gorilla trekking safaris. I’d love to see them up close and watch their human-like behaviour.
What is your best travel souvenir?
While I was travelling last year, I kept a travel diary which I wrote in every single day for two and a half months. It’s really nice to be able to look back through it every now and then and be reminded of the amazing things I got to see and do.
What is the best travel advice you have received?
Get up and go while you still can, don’t wait!
What is your spirit animal?
According to multiple online quizzes, I got the butterfly the most. Apparently I have ‘changed a lot for the better’.
What is your favourite thing about working/living in Brighton?
The amount of young people here. Since I’ve moved here alone, it’s nice to know there will be the opportunity to meet lots of people and make new friends.
