A Bit About Me

I joined NWS at the beginning of 2016 as Finance Manager. Previous to this my involvement in travel has been purely a personal one. The business is an exciting and dynamic one; there are a lot of ideas in the office and a keenness to ensure NWS is at the forefront of future travel.

My job is to ensure all our travel is financially viable; keeping a 'bean counters' eye on our amazing trips.

The safari concept is infectious!

Q & A With Celeste

Where was your last trip?

Mykonos, Greece in summer 2016.

Where is your next trip?

Somewhere warm I hope!

What is your first travel-related memory?

A driving holiday in Scotland aged 5. Delightful to see an HGV coming towards us on our side of the coast road and my father having to guess how it was going to play out! I can't remember who moved over onto the other lane now but there were no injuries - a scary moment.

Aisle or window seat?

Do you have any travel habits or rituals?

Trashy magazines and eye masks for flights. Under-estimating on packing.

What are you most likely to splurge on while travelling?

What’s your favourite thing about working at NWS?

The people and their genuine enthusiasm for what they do. I do believe my interest in all things 'safari' is growing by the day; it's infectious.

What do you like doing outside of NWS?

I have re-found my love of reading recently - losing oneself in a book should not be under-rated...the places one can visit through reading words alone is amazing - the power of imagination!

If you could do just one NWS safari, which one would it be?

At the moment, the Wildlife and Beach Family Safari - surely a 'crowd pleaser'.

What is your best travel souvenir?

I'm not really one for souvenirs; memories are better.

What is the best travel advice you have received?

Have another drink; you'll be fine for tomorrow!

What is your spirit animal?

The Lion apparently - what does that mean?!
