Kantishna Roadhouse in Denali National Park provides some great accommodation away from the madding crowds that are often found closer to the park entrance. Kantishna is deep inside the wilderness of Denali National Park and is the ideal base from where to explore the surrounding environment.

The atmosphere here is very relaxed and comfortable and the access to wildlife is fantastic, with daily adventures heading out. On returning to the lodge you can expect to enjoy tasty family food or relax at the bar and reminisce over the adventures of the day.

One of just 3 lodges in the Denali National Park and Preserve, with great proximity to wildlife and a stunning backdrop.

Accommodation & Facilities

32 cosy log cabins in 2 Alaskan styles, sleeping either 2 or 4 people. Rooms are furnished with handcrafted furniture and either 2 full sized beds or 2 queens. Each room has a private, en-suite bathroom with a shower and climate controls. These cosy cabins also come with an alarm clock so you wont miss a thing!

The main lodge has a front desk and an activities desk, providing maps and details on how to join excursions from the lodge. There is a library with a large collection of Alaskan literature, games, puzzles and videos. There are 2 dining rooms which, along with the library, provide ample comfortable seating and social areas in which to relax.

There is also a gift shop and a well stocked saloon bar!


Fine, hearty and fresh meals are prepared daily by a dedicated team of chefs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided, snacks are also available for those joining a day hike.


These range from two to six hour guided hikes, mountain biking, dog-mushing demos, gold panning, fishing, and for an extra cost flightseeing. Cozy up every night with a cup of cocoa and catch an evening program with guest speakers, artists, or Athabascan elders.

Child Policy

Children over 6 are generally allowed, however it is up to the parent to decide whether your child is ready for the requirements of group travel, will enjoy the experience and not compromise it for others. We suggest you speak to your Natural World Safaris specialist to discuss the specific trip requirements so you can decide on what is best.
