Set on the seafront surrounded by mangrove forests in the town of Puerto Ayora, the largest town in the Galapagos Islands.

Accommodation & Facilities

The hotel has 14 spacious bedrooms, including standard, superior and suite options. All rooms are spacious and brightly decorated, with views over the ocean or mangrove forests. Superior rooms are great for families and can accommodate up to three guests, while suite rooms also feature a private balcony from which to look out over Academy Bay.

The hotel also consists of a restaurant and deck overlooking the water, where guests can relax alongside the sea lions and marine iguanas who are frequent visitors. 


The hotel restaurant, the Almar by Isla Grill, serves Argentinian and Ecuadorian style meat and seafood in a beautiful seafront setting. Most of the ingredients are sourced on Santa Cruz Island itself, as part of the hotels commitment to sustainability.


Galapagos Habitat is a great base from which to explore the Galapagos Islands on a cruise or land-based safari in search of the islands famous residents, such as iguanas, seabirds and finches. The hotel is located a short distance from the Galapagos Visitors Centre and the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Centre, as well as the galleries, museums and bars of Puerto Ayora.
