Accommodation & Facilities

24 guest rooms and luxury suites make up the accommodation here. The accommodations are dotted across the property, some with hilltop views all the way to the Pacific, some looking out over the cloud forest.

Curated by Costa Rican chef Carlos Alvarado, the menu at Senda Monteverde features locally reared meats, sustainably caught seafood and home-baked breads. The team blend their own nut butters and fruit chutneys and hand-select the fine South American wines to be enjoyed with dinner or next to the fire. Dietary restrictions can be catered for with advance notice and the menu offers a number of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Monteverde is packed with activities for the whole family. Explore the Cloud Forest Reserve with a guided tour as you search for the resplendent quetzals, take the Sky Tram along the continental divide with a scenic 1-hour ride on an open-air gondola over the treetops, walk the suspension bridges of the Sky Walk, zip-line through the canyons and forest, or explore on horseback.

There are also options to take a coffee and chocolate tour, explore the Monteverde Orchid Garden, wander the Aguti Wildlife Refuge, and get your binoculars out for some birdwatching. Kids will enjoy the bat jungle or the butterfly gardens, and teens may enjoy the thrill of tree climbing (through the inside of the tree before rappelling down the outside!).
