A three in one hotel; mixing eco-tourism, the jungle and the beach.
Situated north of the Panama border, the wildlife is vibrant and the endangered flora and fauna are stunning. In the heart of the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, the hotel is on the beautiful southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.
Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the 24 tented bungalows come with their own private jacuzzi and you will feel very close to the surrounding wildlife as the walls of the bungalows are made of a thin material to ensure that you hear all the calls of the wild - do not be surprised if your wakeup call comes from a nearby howler monkey! Despite this, there is still a luxurious feel to the bungalows, all of which are en-suite and also have their own hammock for you to relax on after a full day of exploring.
There are communal areas within the hotel offering areas for listening to music and playing pool, and there is wi-fi available in some areas of the hotel. If you'd prefer to relax, there is an on-site jungle spa.
Guests are encouraged to be part of the sustainable development of the hotel by bringing a water bottle that can be refilled on site, as well as being conscious about not wasting electricity or water.
Within the hotel grounds, the restaurant serves all meals and breakfast and dinner are included. There will either be an a la carte menu or a buffet style dinner each evening. There are also coffee, tea and snacks available all day in the main dining room.
The Almonds and Corals Hotel offers numerous excursions including tours to Cahuita National Park, canopy tours, or dolphin tours. There is also the opportunity to rent kayaks, bikes or snorkelling equipment.
Children are welcome at the Almonds and Corals Hotel, however, it is advised that the accommodation would not be suitable for any children under the age of 5. It is also advsied that children who do stay at the hotel must be supervised at all times, especially near the wooden walkways.
