Day 1

Arrive Norway

Arrive into Alesund and take your private transfer to the exclusive Storfjord Hotel, a luxurious boutique lodge from which to explore. Situated in Glomset, the hotel has spectacular views of the Storfjord and the Sunnmore Alps. In the evening, enjoy dining on local fare with a gastronomic twist - the food here will be one of the many highlights of this trip!

Overnight: Storfjord Hotel (D)

Days 2-3

Exploring Glomset

Depending on your preferences, there are a number of activities to enjoy around the Storfjord Hotel. Choose from kayaking in the beautiful fjords and hiking Glomset's pristine mountain range, to discovering the city of Alesund both by boat around the islands and on foot during a walking tour of the city. During summer there are a plethora of bird species along the cliffs which are a joy to watch and photograph and you may also be able to spot seals at Runde Island. Dinners at Storfjord Hotel are a sumputous four-course affair with fine wine to complement your dishes.

Overnight: Storfjord Hotel (B, D)

Day 4

Storfjord - Tromso

From Storfjord you will travel back to Alesund airport for your flight up to Tromso. During this flight you will cross the polar circle line so your adventures from here on in will be Arctic activites. Transfer to your hotel in Tromso (Scandic Ishavs) and settle in to your room before enjoying a private city tour visiting the Polar Museum to learn a bit more about Arctic culture and history. After your walking tour, head up on the cable car to get the best views of Tromso from above. Back at the hotel, freshen up before going in to town to enjoy another incredible dining experience.

Day 5

Tromso - Longyearbyen

After your short time exploring Tromso, travel back to the airport to transfer to Longyearbyen. Land in this slightly strange town ready to explore. Lying at 78 degrees north it is one of the northernmost towns in the world and it has a truly unique atmosphere. From here visit the town's museums and art galleries or wander round the shops to buy some Arctic souvenirs. In the evening, head out on a boat trip in search of glaciers, Arctic wildlife and birds, and enjoy dinner on board.

Overnight: Basecamp Hotel (B, D)

Days 6-7

Exploring Longyearbyen

Over the next two days you have the chance to enjoy some Arctic activities around Longyearbyen. Choose from a polar boat safari travelling to glaciers, abandoned miner's settlements and stunning fjords; hikes out from Longyearbyen to take in the flora of the area and the amazing views across the fjords; kayaking in the Adventfjorden; or a speed boat safari to see walrus and other Arctic wildlife.

Overnight: Basecamp Hotel (B, L)

Day 8

Depart Norway

After breakfast, you can have one last walk around Longyearbyen before heading back to the airport to catch your flight home.
