Day by day

Day 1


Today is the first day of your adventure. As you embark onto the ship in Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city at the tip of Argentina, you will have the opportunity to get to know your surroundings and your ‘home' for the next 11 days. Your explorative group cannot help but wonder and fantasise about the exciting journey that is ahead of you. The ship will set sail in the early evening, to begin your voyage leaving behind Ushuaia and pursuing a course through the Beagle Channel.

Days 2-3

Drake Passage

Today you will begin to cross the Drake Passage, you can feel the excitement in the air as you get closer to Antarctica itself. Spend your time getting to know your fellow passengers and asking your Polar experts your many questions as they help you to prepare for your incredible adventure with a number of presentations and talks on everything Antarctic. Eventually, you shall reach the Antarctic Convergence and enter the Antarctic Ocean here you will notice a distinct drop in temperature. Along this spectacular journey, you’ll spot icebergs, seabirds and even several whale species some of which are known to fully breach from the sea.

Days 4-8

Antarctic Peninsula

Excursions may include observing Weddell, crabeater and elephant seals at Neko Harbour, Wilhelmina Bay and Petermann Island, there is also a huge amount of penguins to be spotted including large colonies of the infamous Adelie penguin. At Half Moon Island there may be an opportunity to observe a breeding colony of chinstrap penguins that share their territory with fur seals and blue-eyed shags. It is also possible to spot humpback whales dining on krill as well as orcas and Minke whales as you journey through the icy waters.   When you finally arrive on the Great White continent you will be in complete awe of the serenity which surrounds you. You will have ample time in order to marvel at the oddly-shaped icebergs, colossal 'tabular' icebergs that break away and fingers crossed the weather will be mild enough to allow us all to step foot on the White Continent itself.

Days 9-10

Drake Passage

You will now journey back Northwards crossing the Antarctic Convergence once again, continuing through the Drake Passage and then around Cape Horn. Spend this time reflecting upon your amazing journey with your fellow travellers before sailing through the Beagle Channel and finishing your expedition with a special dinner onboard.

Day 11


Early this morning you will arrive back in Ushuaia. It is time to say farewell to your crew and fellow travellers. After disembarkation you will be taken to your hotel or the airport, depending on your future plans.
