Following the conclusion of our Puma Photography Safari with Diego Araya, you can choose to stay for a further four nights in Chile to coincide with the 2020 solar eclipse. This is your chance to photograph the spectacular celestial phenomenon in a stunning natural landscape. Alternatively, this 4-day trip can also be booked separately from the 9-day puma safari.
In December 2020, photographer Diego Araya will be leading our Puma Photography Safari in search of Patagonia's apex predator. This trip includes six nights at Eco Camp Patagonia, the world's first geodesic dome hotel, in the wilds of Torres del Paine National Park. Guests on this safari will be able to join Diego and a team of expert wildlife trackers as they search for pumas, guanacos, rheas, Andean foxes, Andean condors and many more species, in one of the most visually stunning wildernesses anywhere in the Americas.
After bidding farewell to Diego, guests can choose to extend their travels with a 4-day extension to coincide with the December 2020 solar eclipse, when the moon will pass in front of the sun, plunging the day into darkness. Based in the Araucanía Region of Chile, you'll be perfectly placed to witness this mind-blowing event, allowing you to capture some spectacular photos. You can choose to add on this extension to Diego's Puma Photography Safari or enjoy the 4-day solar eclipse trip on its own.
