Scott is there to assist you in taking the perfect images of these great apes, come rain or shine – he knows the best time, angles and camera settings to get great shots during your limited time with them.

Scott has spent thousands of hours in remote locations across the globe, filming and photographing wildlife both on land and at sea. A member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), he is regarded as a leading professional in his field, having reached the finals of the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards and submitted winning images to the Sony World Photography Awards, Asferico International Nature Photography Awards and Travel Photographer of the Year Awards, among many other accolades.

On this safari you can spend up to an hour with the gorillas each day, and with the option of a third trek, you'll have plenty of opportunity to capture some incredible images. The afternoons are not wasted, as you'll learn how to edit your images professionally with expert guidance from Scott.

Days 3-4

Apr 28-29: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Two days of tracking! The mountain gorillas in Bwindi are part of a worldwide population of just 820. The gorillas you can track belong to one of three habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually brought them to tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day, allowing a few privileged visitors to interact with them. The gorillas are by no means tame, and are completely wild. Experienced guides will accompany you, many of whom have been involved in the habituation process themselves. The guides will use their knowledge of the gorillas' habits and information from the previous day to locate the group's whereabouts. Because of this, the time taken to track the gorillas varies enormously, from as little as half an hour to nine hours. Scott will guide you through how to get the best out of your photographs during the day, and will go through them with you in the evenings so that you can improve your skills in the following days.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge B, L, D

Day 5

Apr 30: Optional Gorilla Trek or Batwa Community Visit or Forest Walk

Today choose from a third gorilla tracking experience (£480), a full day guided community walk with the Batwa/Pgymy tribe (£65) or a forest walk to the Munyaga waterfall (£56). These activities must be booked at time of booking and are at additional cost. For those who wish to relax at the lodge and recuperate after the last day’s activities, this is of course also an option!

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge B, L, D

Day 6

May 1: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Entebbe

Today you’ll take a morning flight, departing at 9:30am and arriving at 11:25am in Entebbe, where you’ll be met and transferred to the Boma Guesthouse to drop off your luggage and pick up a packed lunch. You’ll then transfer approximately 15 minutes to the pier for your afternoon shared boat ride to Ngamba Island for the afternoon viewing of the chimps. Return to the mainland, freshen up, have a farewell dinner, then transfer back to the airport and check in for your international departure flight.
